About Me

I am a Culver’s lovin’, iced tea drinking, weak vessel for Jesus (and newly minted chai lattte fanatic). I can be found most days at home either homeschooling my children, surfing the internet or visiting with a friend. It’s also possible I could just be playing with the kids, snuggling the toddler or sneaking chocolate from my top-secret stash.

I have an amazing husband who treats me tens times better than I deserve to be treated. I have six children who keep me laughing and learning. I think my family is the biggest gift God has ever given me.

I am a passionate person, a blessing and a curse.  There are seven main issues I am passionate about currently.

I am most passionate about living for Jesus Christ, my LORD. He’s my all in all. I am an incredibly weak vessel striving to glorify Him in all I do. Through this passion, I sift the other passions in life.

I am passionate about encouraging women to be lovers of their husbands, keepers of their home and lovers of their children.  I want to encourage women to step out in faith to stay at home with their children.

I am passionate about homeschooling.  I love it for so many reasons, though I was a skeptic for a long time.

I am passionate about what Scripture says about children: they are blessings, gifts, rewards and inheritances.  All children.  Always.

I am passionate about relationships. I believe God gives us relationships to grow us up in so many ways.

I am passionate about speaking out for post abortive women.  I desire to direct women who carry abortion scars towards healing, forgiveness, and newness of life.

I am passionate about advocating for beautiful births for women who must have c-sections.  The OR birth should be just as special and bonding as the LDR one.

To get to know my heart and soul, please read the What My Faith is About post.

While I am forty-three, I sure don’t feel like it. I thought forty-something year-olds had it all figured out!?  Hmmm… I have learned so very much in the last twenty years, but hope to learn exponentially more in the next ten, through God’s grace. Seriously.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I’d give you some tea and chocolate, but… well, you know.

I’m glad I found you! After reading your “about me” post, it’s clear we have much in common. Passion for Christ and homeschooling our children are the two most important. I only have two children and I’m a bit older than you, but those are minor differences. So, in light of our similarities, I’ll be keeping an eye on your blog and your family’s adventures.

hey Mindy! I love love LOVE you blog sister. You’re a lot like me, in many ways. Thanks for the great place to hang out. I loved your post on Sonlight and biblioPlan and being that I’ll be homeschooling a large brood, that was crucial insight to have. Stop by my blog when I wipe away the ugliness (soon!). BTW, also a huge long-time fan of Miss Dani J! xoxoxo- Katie

Just saw your bio and I had to comment – I LOVE Culvers! I’m from NC and have lived here all of my life with the exception of 2 years when I lived in the Midwest for my husband’s job. Anytime we visit we make a stop for the hamburgers! 🙂

Thanks again or sharing your birth story with Birth Memoirs. It’s an honor to have you. Thank you for sharing such wonderful, encouraging information through your community!

Three friends and I are just completing our second 6-month Bible read through using your schedule, and we’re getting ready to start through for the third time. We meet every other week and share some of the Scriptures that have impacted us. It’s exciting to see how God has given us a love for each other, and how our love for Him and His Word is growing.

Thanks so much for the schedule. It’s the best one we’ve seen.
