Ever read a book that was a balm to your spirit, a smack to your head, and an insurance policy for your heart  all at the same time?  I have.  And, if you homeschool, you need the book in which I am referring.

I know, that’s quite a statement.  It also happens to be true.

Whether you are just starting your first year, you are no longer considered a newbie, or you’ve been homeschooling so long that you can remember with fondness the days when you were done with school by noon, I believe this book offers you some well founded advice, warnings and encouragement.

If you have ever believed that no one could possibly think you are doing a good job homeschooling…

If you have ever left a group of homeschooling moms and felt like you were the only one struggling (with your teaching with your marriage, with your housekeeping or with your mothering)…

If you have ever wanted to eat OREOs (or organic chocolate dipped dried fruit, pick your poison) in your room with the door shut while your kids play instead of doing schoool and just knew no other homeschool mom has ever felt that way….

(Or if you want to dispel these feelings before they take root in your mind, for your newbies…)

You need this book.  You are probably believing a lie (or nine).  These lies can kill you, in a manner of speaking.

I have cried and laughed and found hope in this book because it is seeped in truth.  The book is Lies Homeschool Moms Believe.

Todd Wilson was a terrific speaker at the THSC Conference.  Truly.  The fact that he hands out stickers that say “My Wife Homeschools My Children: She is My Hero”  sure bumped him up quite a few notches.  As a husband, he has seen the misery believing lies can cause in his wife’s life… and therefore his family’s.  These lies permeate the homeschooling community strongly and, I believe, have been foundational for many a homeschooler throwing in the towel.

Don’t let that happen to you.  Your school.  Your home.  Your heart.

Read this book.

To encourage you in buying Lies Homeschooling Moms Believe, I am giving away one copy!   Todd signed and donated this book just for (one, randomly selected ) you!

Read the book and receive the hug you probably could use.

If you have read the book already, how many of the lies did you believe?

If you haven’t read the book yet, do you think you believe any lies?

{Giveaway ends Monday, August 8th at 11:59pm and open to continental United States only.

While this book was donated for the giveaway, the review is my own.}
