Really, It’s a Vacation

So, this morning I leave for a vacation. Just me and my friend, Lisa. And thousands of other people. But they’ll only be around for 3/4 of my vacation, so they don’t really count. Do they?

Today I head to The Woodlands for the Texas Home School Coalition Convention. I am beyond excited! Shopping for books. Spending time with a friend (road trip!). Sitting under the wisdom of experienced homeschoolers. Shopping for books. Spending time getting motivated and encouraged in my calling. And shopping for books. Seriously, does it get any better?

You doubt that it’s a vacation?

Well… I won’t have to cook. I get to eat out every night. I don’t have to discipline anyone (unless Lisa says I can’t buy a book or thirty). I will not be cleaning up after children who make messes simply by breathing. I get to stop at Buc-ee’s.

Still doubting?

Fine, we are going to IKEA today also. Does that help?

(If you hear giggling along I-10 today, you know who it is!)
